ARNIE - sold Aug 10
Dear Mike Well Arnie is just fine and I am enjoying every minute of him, it has taken some time to get him confident to go on his own – we frequently spend time routed to the spot gazing at the horizon whilst he works out if he can move another inch! Still he has progressed hugely and gives me a lovely forward going ride once his confidence gets going. (he is fine in company although with a tendency to follow!) I have been running clinics with Perry Wood (www.perry-wood.com) who trains classical riding. Arnie is going really well and even managed a few steps of Piaffe! Not sure who was more surprised, Arnie or me! Perry thinks he is a great horse with a lot of potential. My next target is to get him hacking out happily on the roads on his own. Attached is Arnie’s latest blog! Anyway I love him to bits! You seem to have some super horses for sale. I have a friend who is looking for a mini version of Arnie if you know of one. Bstrgds Rosie

Bonito LII PRE sold July 2011
Now, I promised you a testimonial once the boy had settled and settled he has! I haven't ever provided a testimonial before - I've not felt moved to write one until meeting the both of you. I have to thank you both for your kind patience with me, I am not the same wary sceptic that walked on to your yard almost 5 months ago hoping that I had not made a 4 hour drive in vain! My initial contact with Mike was truly lovely - I can't remember the last time I spent over and hour and a half talking on the phone to anyone, let alone a person I did not know. After deciding to come and visit, you were both so friendly and welcoming that whilst I remained sceptical, you put me instantly at ease about being on a stranger's yard in a completely different county. I cannot say how grateful I am for your honesty about Bonito; everything you said about him is absolutely spot on and he is promising to be my horse of a lifetime. Having had several very unfortunate experiences in buying horses in the past, you had the unenviable task of making a believer out of me. Boy, did you ever succeed! I was highly impressed by the way in which you both conducted yourselves during my visit - not once did I feel pressured that I had to buy one of your horses. I have no doubt that had I not decided to buy Bonito you would have treated me exactly the same way as you did on concluding the sale. When I am asked where my young man was bought from, I am proud to say that he came from two wonderful people who care very much about the horses they import and the people they sell them to. I cannot say how very much I would recommend you to anyone looking to buy a horse - if I am ever fortunate enough to have the time and money to buy a second horse I will be making that 4 hour drive out to you once again without a second thought! You made what was promising to be a very difficult and stressful experience for me very easy, simple and I dare say enjoyable! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Capote XV PRE sold April 11
Life is complex - I knew Capote was my horse way before I met him. He is the horse of my childhood dreams and the one in my prayers. I have waited a lifetime to meet him. Not only is he stunning, brave and intelligent, he is so endearing, inquisitive, and trusting. He makes me laugh, wonder, cry and love. He is a fireball to ride, like the winged messenger; the world is so new to him. He is my companion, my friend and soul mate. I feel so privileged to share his journey. Thank you for our introduction and your faith in me to be the owner he should have. You have been the perfect catalyst in a very happy and permanent partnership. Tricia and Capote.

Chico sold Sept 07
So good to see you both again, and to meet Mike as well. I can’t believe I’ll have had Chico 3 years in September. He’s a star - thank you so much for him! He is very happy and well and enjoying life; here are some photos of him. As you can see Chico is still dappled (lovely!) although getting whiter every summer. He’s an amazingly good doer..... loves eating hedgerows as well. There aren’t bridleways in our immediate area, but we do have 2 east anglian farm rides a few miles away which I normally get onto a few times a month; he loves a good gallop along the sea-wall! We also potter round the village a few times a week and as you can see he loves meeting small children especially when out and about..... he’s such a softie.... We started jumping last year and he absolutely loves it – nothing big (up to 2’8”) but just for fun. As an update from Thursday, we’re now sticking with the Myler bit as he’s going really well in it for Me. I’m glad I gave it another go. Kind regards Jenny and Chico June 2010. Essex

Chicuelo sold Oct 09
Hi Kate Chicuelo (Cheeky) is doing wonderfully - we did our first attempt at a preliminary dressage test together yesterday, which he enjoyed, as did I! He really is a little treasure. I've attached a couple of photos taken on Christmas day - he's a bit snuggled up in his rugs, but I hope he looks happy. Cheeky has become such an important part of my life already I can appreciate how much you must miss him. Will keep in touch Karen & Cheeky Jan 2010. Cambs

Farco de Zubial - Sold Apr 11
Hi Mike and Linda, Just an update on Farco to let you know how he is getting on. I cannot believe its only 3weeks that he has been with me, seems longer. He is a real gentleman and has settled into the yard well, he is so easy to deal with, makes it an absolute pleasure handling him. He finds it a bit of a problem if he comes in during the day for any reason ie to be tacked up, and all the other horses are out, but we are working on that, early days. Other than that he is fine, I have hacked him out, which I thought I would not be doing just yet, meeting a double decker bus was interesting but he wasn't too bad, he will get use to them. Its all new to him and he has just 'clicked' over the weekend that I am his 'mum', so that helps. We have even put our 7year old on him on lead rein and he was a saint, so she is over the moon. I had an amazing lesson last night with spider and found the correct buttons for him to just show me what he can do. Spider also rode him so I could really see what he can do. I have booked her again next week and plan to have regular lessons with her. If all goes to plan I hope to enter him into a dressage competition early July probably just a walk and trot test at this stage, but I believe he and I will cope quite well with that. I will keep you updated. Best wishes to you all. Nicola and Farco x ps and thanks so much for letting me buy him, he will hopefully be my companion for many years to come. Hi Mike, Linda and April, A 9week update on Farco. Farco continues to improve and is a real pleasure to own and I cannot imagine being without him now. He has really settled in to the yard life now and has a paddock chum that he gets on well with. He is an absolute pleasure to be around and so loves his fuss and cuddles (think he was a dog in a previous life). We did our first dressage competition on Saturday 25th, earlier than planned, but this just shows how much I trust him. Farco was a good boy and coped well with the busy competition venue. We got 60% which I was very pleased with, and considering as far as we know, his first dressage test and mine for 10years!!. I have others planned for the 2nd and the 7th July. He is brilliant with the children and allows them to be led around on him and I can trust him in the field with them. He nudges them with his nose to see what they have in their pockets, all very gentle. He was put over some small jumps today to see what he thought of them, he seems to have jumped before and found it all fun. Took it all in is stride. Anyway will keep the updates coming, and once again thank you so much for suggesting that Farco was the horse for me, you got that very correct indeed. With our best wishes. Nicola and Farco xx

Fonsie (Humano II) sold Jan 11
Hello, We are both happy and healthy, He has the most wonderful temperament and is so laid back he has been known to almost loose balance when standing up asleep! His, and my, training is coming on very well, he has put on some weight and is building up muscle tone nicely. He is learning to use the correct postural muscles to enable hi to carry himself and me correctly. He is not completely compliant and will argue but only a little. I took him out in the lorry for the first time three weeks ago to a classical equitation clinic. He behaved impeccably, which meant my nerves left me and so we were both relaxed and enjoyed the day. He is slowly getting fitter and tackling hills. I had the the passport changed to my name by the British society and discovered his breeding is extremely good. So good that they questioned whether it was the same horse as the passport and asked me to get my vet to do another identification noting EVERY mark on his body. He is the same. One of the members of the society has his Auntie! Did you realize that his father is very famous and has now been granted 'Calificado' Status, the highest accolade and his grandfather was twice champion of Andalusia and three times national champion; his great grandfather was also very famous. His full brother has been approved for breeding. He is a smashing horse with a fantastic temperament, which was paramount for me when trying to find a horse and I have no nerves now, even when he does a little spook. He is a great confidence giver and cannot imagine being without him. Love Beverly and Fonsie (Humano II).
